Headshot 7

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and what has become my life’s work.

I’ve been working with individuals involved with the criminal justice system over a decade, on hundreds of cases, both independently and as a dispositional advisor for the Office of the Public Defender.  Prior to working in this field, I put my Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ripon College to good use while working as a counselor for juveniles in residential settings, a mental health case manager for adults, and a benefit specialist for individuals with disabilities.  My varied professional background created a genuine understanding of not only individuals and their needs, but also the programs available in the community to address those needs.

I pride myself on bringing a high level of integrity to every case I accept.  While I cannot change the facts of your case, I believe strongly that my clients are more than their worst mistakes.  It benefits us all when judges are given the information necessary to accurately decipher who belongs in prison (or jail) and who doesn’t.  I am grateful for the opportunity to do my part in this process.  Those who know me realize that I take my role seriously, which has earned me the respect of the court and other professionals with whom I’ve worked.

Regardless of your case or history, you are one choice away from a new beginning.  Once you do your part, I’ll do mine.  So, please check out the website, contact me, or otherwise connect on LinkedIn, Twitter (@AmyBButler1), or Facebook.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Amy
